You named the calves…

Announcing the winning calf names for Carmen’s and Tulip’s fall calving!! We had a fun time sending out the announcement and getting feedback from the cows’ owners as to what to call these two bouncing little fuzzballs.

Tulip’s bull calf is named Buck! Very appropriate. Matches his color (like a deer, but no antlers…).

Carmen’s heifer calf is named Betsy! Once again, it fits her well. Thanks for taking the time to vote!

Did you know names then end in “-eeh” sounds work the best with animals? That’s because animals learn to recognize inflections in your voice. Names that have a higher inflection at the end carry the human voice better and are easier to train animals to respond to.
