What is Real Food?

There’s a big emphasis these days about eating nutrient dense foods and avoiding the hidden costs of processed foods. But there’s also a growing confusion about labels, certification, USDA standards, and the organic policies — all things that are important in their own way, but not a guarantee that you’re getting what you’re looking for.

Here at Bartlett Farms we really want to provide the best food. Not just because people are asking for it, but because we want to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and diet ourselves, minimizing the toxins we put into our bodies, and thinking about the future for our children.

That’s why we identify ourselves with real food. To us, real food is simply food in its basic form; not highly processed. It is also a reference to the growing movement of health conscious families desiring:

  • non-GMO
  • no artificial growth hormones
  • antibiotic free
  • organically grown (certified or non-certified)
  • pasture based
  • grass fed
  • locally distributed
  • environmentally and land-stewardship conscious

With these highlights in our view, we aim to provide an abundance of real food to families in our local delivery area.

If you’ve been looking for a source of quality milk, eggs, or meat, please check out the How It Works page and consider how we might be able to help.

We invite you to join us in the real food movement as you learn and transform your family’s health — one bite at a time.
